Just an experiment I did on painting rocks...
This is spring's imp...

I got the idea from the Aeneid by the latin poet Virgil (5th book, lines 85-111)

The quote is from The Island of the Fay by Edgar Allan Poe
(published 1850).
At the beginning of this tale teh following quote is reported:
Nullus enim locus sine genio est.
(No place is without its genius.)
-- Servius.

Tu vuoi dire: Nessun luogo e' senza coscienza (o qualcosa del genere, no?)
Allora

"Genius non est Nullo Loco"
Che letteralmente vuol dire: Il genio non e' a nessun luogo ma e' un costrutto particolare del latino
Dativo di Possesso e si traduce, appunto,
Nessun luogo e' senza genio

(hai pescato la frase piu' difficile da dire in latino :p)

It reminds me of Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell. This is a lovely picture.

Ametto che il mio latino è arruginito...dovrebbe invece essere "Nullus locUS sine genio est"...giusto??
Quella originale è :

nullus nim locus sine genio est
di Servio in un commentario dell'Eneide...

tra l'altro è anche l'icipit del racconto l'isola della fata di E.A Poe

Allora scrivi:
Nullus locus sine genium est

(non capisco perche' Genio, visto che in italiano e' un complemento oggetto :|)

Ah una domanda tecnica, come fai a fare lo sfondo Giallo cosi' uniforme??

It's a book I read in middle school so I don't remember it very well, but if you like young adult fiction, Scott O'Dell is a good author.

Y_Y Amo tantissimo il tuo sapiente uso dei vuoti! Le rocce sono fantastiche, e la figura piccolissima in alto é una splendida idea...Mi ricorda Toppi (trovo geniali quelle lunghe vignette con tanto bianco e la figura piccolissima in fondo!).^^

... il giallo è il colore del foglio... ma il disegno non è tutto su sfondo giallo... si vede nel tuo PC? quello che io vedo da un PC al'altro è sempre così diverso! E poi tutti sono diversi dal foglio originale!! cmq, il "giallo" è il foglio, mentre il bianco in basso nel disego è invece fatto "schiarendo" il colore del foglio con una pennello molto largo e del bianco acrilico molto diluito...
